Materials Innovations and Instrumentation Expo
(Special Event)
The goal of the Materials Innovations and Instrumentation Expo is to foster interdisciplinary research both within the university and with external partners through collaboration and communication of research results and ideas.
We will accomplish this through invited speakers, posters from students which will focus on instrumentation with a strong emphasis on research and development of new methods, posters from VT shared facilities to highlight and communicate their capabilities, displays by vendors of key instrumentation, and finally by networking of participants to foster communication and collaboration.
1-2 p.m. Invited speakers in Performance Hall
-Dr. Robert Dimeo, Director of the NIST NCNR (Center for Neutron Research)
-Dr. Ho Nyung Lee, Interim Director of the Materials Science and Technology Division at ORNL
2:00-3:00 p.m. Networking (break)
2:30-5:00 p.m. Student posters and vendor exhibits
Food and drink will be served from 2-5 p.m.
