  Strange Ways of Writing the Torah

Please join Jewish scribe Jen Taylor Friedman, the first known woman to have completed a Torah scroll, for a research talk on her work on codicology and paleography. In this talk, Jen will discuss the strange ways of writing she has discovered in the medieval Jewish manuscripts she studies. If you have an interest in Judaism, the medieval world, or material culture, particularly manuscripts, this talk is for you! Lunch from Lucie Monroe's Mediterranean Cafe will be provided.
