HPA Information Session: "My Path to Medicine: The Surprises and the Realities"

Lieutenant Commander Josephine Nguyen, Office of the U.S. Navy Chief/Medical Corps Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), will visit campus to speak with pre-health students about military options to medicine in addition to sharing information about getting into medical school, work/life balance, and developing leadership skills.
LCDR Nguyen currently serves as the Board President of the Navy Scholarships for Medical School. A 2003 graduate of Stanford School of Medicine, she is a staff dermatologist at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. In her exciting career in the Navy, she has served overseas as a flight surgeon in Japan, a translator for the Commanding Officer of the U.S.S. Mercy, and has completed multiple humanitarian and mission trips overseas, LCDR Nguyen also serves as the Navy's Young Physician Representative to the American Medical Association and is the Deputy Executive Director for the Vietnamese American Armed Forces Association.
She will present an information sessions at 12:00 and 1:00. Attire is business casual. More information...
