The Role of the University in an Era of Science Skepticism and 'Fake News'
(Special Event)

Virginia Tech's Center for Communicating Science presents a panel discussion on a topic critical for our time: "The Role of the University in an Era of Science Skepticism and 'Fake News.'" The panel will be moderated by science communicator and comedian Brian Malow and includes Robin Reed, evening news anchor on WDBJ7; Sally Morton, dean of the College of Science at Virginia Tech; Sylvester Johnson, director of the Center for Humanities at Virginia Tech; and Audra Van Wart, director of education and training at the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute. Following the panel discussion we will take questions from the audience and expect to have a lively discussion with members of the general public.
