Weekend Service Trip: focus on women's rights
(Service)
[SIGN UP BY OCT. 27] According to the Institute for Women's Policy and Research, in 2015, female full-time, year-round workers made only 80 cents for every dollar earned by men. While economic inequity is not the only barrier for women, it creates challenges in many different life circumstances. Participants will explore and gain a better understanding of some of these barriers, and will serve alongside organizations focused on economic advancement and empowerment, health and safety, and civil rights.
On a VT Engage weekend immersion trip, you'll serve a cause that matters to you, dive more deeply into social justice issues through reflection, and meet other students passionate about questioning and serving.
The cost of the trip is $30, which covers transportation, food, and housing. Need-based scholarships are available. All applicants will be considered. More information...
