Deliver surplus food recovered from Dining Services to our community partner and local hunger relief agency, The Giving Tree Food Pantry. Please note: you may need to carry heavy bags (up to 50 lbs.) and enter walk-in coolers to retrieve food. Please wear warm clothing and closed-toe shoes.

This trip is open to any undergraduate and graduate student. Transportation will be provided from Tech's campus to the service site. More details will be sent upon registration. Questions? Contact the VT Engage team at engage@vt.edu.

The Campus Kitchen at Virginia Tech is a a VT Engage program that combats food waste and hunger by redistributing surplus food from dining halls to area food agencies. VT Engage is a service learning and civic engagement center in the Division of Student Affairs.
