Heard about Virginia Tech's "Mapping the Fourth of July" website and want to check it out yourself? Getting ready for this year's July 4 holiday and curious about how Americans celebrated their national anniversary during the Civil War era, when their nation was falling apart? Stop by Blacksburg Public Library any time between 3 and 5 p.m. to chat with the project team and try your hand at transcribing, tagging, and more. Computers and expert guidance will be provided.
