Civil War Cemetery Tour
(Special Event)
A walking tour led by Smithfield Museum Director April Danner, of the Westview and Preston Cemeteries, located at 723 E. Roanoke St. & 1000 Smithfield Plantation Rd. Fighting, dying, surviving, wounds, prisons, hospitals -- these are just some of the stories you will hear about when we meet at the Westview Cemetery at 9am. Then, we will move on to the Preston Cemetery to learn more about how the Civil War dramatically changed the life of one family forever.
