Memory Project: Memento and Family Items Digitization Event

The Montgomery County community is invited to participate in the Montgomery County Memory Project: People, Places, and Things of Montgomery County, Virginia. The project seeks to uncover local treasures hidden in corners of family homes, making connections within and among people in those communities.
As part of this project, the public will be able to digitize family heirlooms and historic artifacts, documents, manuscripts, and photographs at no charge at the digitization events on April 23 and 30.
Visitors may bring up to three items each to be digitally scanned or photographed. The items brought in should belong to the attendee, and assistance will not be available to transport large items.
