The Montgomery County Memory Project: People, Places, and Things of Montgomery County, Virginia seeks to uncover local treasures hidden in corners of family homes, making connections within and among people in those communities.
As part of this project, Samantha Parish Riggin will present general information on the identification of antiques, including terms and category definitions, aiding in a better understanding of community and family heirlooms. In subsequent events on April 23 and 30, the public will be able to digitize family heirlooms and historic artifacts, documents, manuscripts, and photographs at no charge.
