3:00pm 		  Strategies for Preventing and Responding to Academic Misconduct: VT's New Undergraduate Honor Code Policy  
(Seminar/Conference)

A new Undergraduate Honor Code will be in place at the start of the fall 2016 semester. The enhanced Honor Code will have a host of new approaches and expectations in regards to the promotion of academic integrity at the institution. This session will provide insight into how to uphold and enforce the institution's new standards as they relate to academic integrity. In addition, the session will interactively discuss the reasons why students engage in academic misconduct and pedagogical strategies that faculty can use in order to create a culture that discourages academic misconduct. Participants will leave the session with specific strategies to enhance the academic integrity of their classroom environment.
