(Seminar/Conference)

This workshop will focus on using PowerPoint to engage students in actively learning knowledge and skills, rather than focusing on the presentation of content. The goals of the session are to understand and be able to apply the features of PowerPoint in a pedagogically sound manner. Whether you are teaching 20 to 200 students, PowerPoint can be used in specific ways to foster student learning, getting beyond the use of PowerPoint as a content presentation tool only. Please note: This session is NOT focused on how to use the software itself, from a button clicking perspective, although some of that will be included to illustrate how to create certain instructional designs. Want or need to use PowerPoint? This session will address how and why.
