Music on Mondays: Amy Gillick and Friends present 'The Trio Eclectic'

Faculty member and bassonist Amy Gillick presents an eclectic collage of trios from living American composers juxtaposed with a rarely heard work from the classical era.
The evening of chamber music explores the limitless permutations of color and emotion that can be created with three distinct instruments. Transcending and suspending stylistic expectations, these genre-bending works by John Steinmetz, Lucas Cantor, and Eric Lyon weave new contexts for flute, bassoon, and piano, expressing a full spectrum of distinct possibilities.
