Co-organized by Virginia Tech's Interdisciplinary Graduate Education Program in Disaster Resilience (DR-IGEP) and by the Interdisciplinary Coastal Hazard Research Team (ICHRT) - this symposium features an all women team of speakers including:

Dr. Julie Maldonado from UC-Santa Barbara
Dr. Julie Rosati from the US Army Corps of Engineers
Dr. Joanne Bourgeois from the University of Washington

Each of them will be discussing their research on coastal resilience, and, we hope, making a positive contribution to the ongoing discussions about security, risk, and resilience.
