The Homecoming 5K race is held each year as part of the Homecoming festivities. Join Virginia Tech Recreational Sports and the VT Police department to remember Officer Deriek Crouse who bravely protected the Virginia Tech community until he was tragically killed in the line of duty in December 2011. The 1.52-mile Memorial Run represents Officer Crouse's badge number of 152. Proceeds benefit VA C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors) and the Rec Sports student scholarship program. This event is sponsored by the University Bookstore, the Volume Two Bookstore and Domino's Pizza.
