Iraqi Kurdistan welcome reception

The Virginia Tech community is invited to a reception to welcome Iraqi faculty and administrators studying at the university.
The Iraqi Kurdistan Rural University Partnership Program, sponsored by the Language and Culture Institute, aims to create connections to the global academic community and build the capacity of English language departments and university management to promote higher-education reform and rebuild civil society in Iraqi Kurdistan.
While at Virginia Tech, the Iraqis will focus on developing English language curricula, enhancing instructional methods in the English departments, strategic planning, university leadership, classroom management, and technology in higher education.
We hope you can join us for a welcome reception. Light refreshments will be served.
