The Kruger Brothers
(Arts)
Born and raised in Europe, brothers Jens and Uwe Kruger started singing and paying instruments at a very young age. Joel Landsberg joined the brothers in the early '90s, and together they established the incomparable sound they're known for today. Drawing on American musical tradition and a rich cultural palette, they deftly cross the boundaries of bluegrass, jazz, and classical territories. The award-winning Ameret String Quartet joins the trio with Jens Kruger's Appalachian Concerto, written in 2010 for banjo, bass, guitar, and string quartet. More information...
