  Helen Silverstein Lecture -- Know Your Audience: Lessons from a Veteran Scholar  
(Greater Washington DC Metro Area)

Helena Silverstein, professor and department head of Government and Law at Lafayette College, Easton, Pennsylvania, has published for scholarly audiences in university press books, law journals, and social science journals.

Based on her experience, Silverstein will discuss the importance of knowing what the expectations are for the forum in which you are publishing. She will explain how one can pay careful attention to the format for a journal article and apply that structure to one's own work.
