Fulbright Information Session for students

The Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost, in conjunction with the Phi Beta Delta International Honor Society and the Global Education Office, will host a series of workshops and information sessions September 24 - 25 for all faculty, administrators, and students interested in learning more about Fulbright opportunities.
Representatives from the Council for International exchange of Scholars, a division of the Institute of International Education, will be visiting campus to share information and advice on teaching and research opportunities in more than 125 countries; tips on selecting countries for application and making contacts abroad; ideas on how the campus can host visiting foreign Fulbright scholars, and more. All sessions will consist of a forty-minutes presentation plus a Q&A period.
Additionally, there will be a reception the evening of Wednesday, September 24 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. for all returned and visiting Fulbright Scholars, as well as anyone interested in learning more about Fulbright opportunities, at the Holtzman Alumni Center Gallery. RSVPs are not required but would be appreciated; the point of contact is Kathy Murphy (kathymm@vt.edu; 231-9987).
There is no charge for the events.
