This moving concert features film drawn from archival material set to a new score for string quartet by Serbian composer Aleksandra Vrebalov, and historic music from the era of World War I, dubbed the "War to End All Wars." How did artists bear witness and respond to the human tragedy of the war in Europe a century ago - and what can artists and audiences do in response to wars being fought around the globe today? For more than 30 years, the Kronos Quartet has pursued a singular artistic vision, combining a spirit of fearless exploration with a commitment to expanding the range and context of the string quartet.
