Smithfield Plantation will host an author book-signing for noted local authors Jim Glanville and Ryan Mays on April 26, upon the release of Volume 18 of the Smithfield Review, which contains an article connecting Southwest Virginia with a 16th century Spanish Conquistador fort in North Carolina. Fox News, the New York Times, and other news organizations carried the NC story last summer.
