The National Weather Service Blacksburg Office and the Virginia Tech Office of Emergency Management are sponsoring a Basic Skywarn Spotter Class. A meteorologist from the National Weather Service will discuss the characteristics of severe storms and explain how volunteer storm spotters can assist the Weather Service in their mission to warn the public about severe weather that might occur in our area.
