Transit of Venus Viewing
(Special Event)
Join us for a once in a lifetime experience on June 5! Venus will pass in front of the Sun, an event which helped us hundreds of years ago measure the first distances to the planets in the solar system. Solar telescopes, pinhole projections, a live webcam, and a magnified projection system will be set up to experience the event in an appropriate and safe viewing environment.
The next transit after June 5th won't occur until 2117!
