Tour the amphitheater, join in the excitement, have a snack as the Virginia Tech School of Architecture and Design shows off the student-built amphitheater destined for the town of Clifton Forge. The Design/Build Lab students are holding an open house on Saturday, April, 21, 2012, from noon to 3 p.m. at the College of Architecture and Urban Studies prefabrication facility,4076 Prices Fork, Blacksburg, Va. The students are constructing the structure there and will load it on a truck in a couple of weeks to take to the town where they will erect it on a site they have been preparing. In addition to giving the students practical, hands-on experience, this is an economic development project for Clifton Forge.
