(Academic)

In this workshop led by Mary Ann Lewis, director of the Office of First Year Experiences, and Chloe Ruff, First-Year Experiences graduate assistant, participants will discuss practical instructional strategies for integrating the Common Book into a variety of disciplines. Those who attend the session will participate in and design activities using the common book, which they can then use in their own courses.

The Common Book Project at Virginia Tech was established in 1998 as a means of enriching the first-year experience and contributing to a sense of community for undergraduate students.

Special Note: Light refreshments provided.
