Designing and Assessing Community-Engaged Learning
(Academic)
The hallmark of engaged learning is its holistic impact on students. However, engaged learning requires a different paradigm for articulating and measuring outcomes than that used in traditional lecture delivery courses. This session presents methods for identifying and measuring personal, civic, and academic gains related to formal and informal engaged learning experiences, with emphases on aligning objectives with activities, and critical writing for discovery / demonstration. This course is open to all faculty, staff and graduate students.
