Summon is a new "web-scale discovery search engine" the library has purchased. While comprehensive research in the past required searching multiple databases and the library catalog, Summon combines the sources indexed in these resources. Summon includes the entire contents of Addison, the library catalog, plus about 85% of the journals to which we subscribe, plus content from major publishers, database providers, and the catalogs of all other participating libraries. Summon provides quick access to much of our subscribed content, plus it easily reveals content outside those subscriptions that can be requested through interlibrary loan.
