Data Management Planning for Research Grants
(Academic)
Grant applications for NSF, NIH, as well as other agencies and foundations now require the Principal Investigator to submit a data management plan with the application materials. The requirements include, among other things, a means of sharing research data with the wider research community and general public, as well as a plan to preserve the research data beyond the funding period. VT University Libraries now offers assistance in crafting data management plans, as well as a means to preserve and disseminate research data through the VTechWorks online repository. Participants in this course will learn how to craft a data management plan to comply with their funder's requirements, as well as learn how to take advantage of data management services offered at VT University Libraries. This course is open to all faculty, staff and graduate students. This short course is being presented in collaboration with University Libraries http://www.lib.vt.edu/ More information...
