Do you need an online survey tool that has capabilities beyond the survey.vt.edu tool? Virginia Tech is working to provide the VT community with one of the top survey tools available on the web. Qualtrics is a leader in market research and enterprise feedback management. Their web-based survey tool provides a flexible and robust environment that is designed to balance simplicity and professionalism. It is a fourth-generation survey software, and the culminating product of almost two decades of survey research expertise. This enterprise feedback management tool will allow you to build, send, and analyze surveys. This short course will get you started in building surveys, editing surveys, distributing surveys, and exploring many of the ways to view your data. The session will begin with a focus on crafting excellent survey questions and exploring foundational issues associated with online survey research. The session will then turn toward a hands-on exploration of Qualtrics. Participants will be provided with a temporary license to try this product in the session. Full departmental licenses for this tool are available through Software Distribution. This course is open to all faculty, staff and graduate students.
