Southern Mountain Square Dance (monthly): This dance, one of the most unique and longest-running community dances to be found in our area, features the finest old-time string bands and square dance callers in our region.

Three dance callers: Sally Morgan, Barbara Wright & Ginger Wagner...all Blacksburg locals

Featuring the young Old Time String band, from Asheville, NC, 'Locust Honey' with: Chloe Edmundstone, fiddle; Sarah Jamison, guitar; Ariel Dixon, banjo; Grey Nelson, bass

Callers teach and dancers walk through each dance prior to dancing to live music. Beginners welcome!! No partner needed!
