  " Molecular Characterization of Indigenous Germplasm of Livestock by Microsatellite Markers."

Dr. Palanimuthu Thangaraju, Vice-Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, will present a lecture entitled, "Molecular Characterization of Indigenous Germplasm of Livestock by Microsatellite Markers" on May 27 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in Phase II Classroom 125 of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.

The event is free and all members of the Virginia Tech community are encouraged to attend.

Dr. Thangarau's lecture and visit to the college are part of an ongoing United States-India Agricultural Knowledge Initiative (AKI) between the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. The U.S. Department of Agriculture sponsored initiative seeks to enhance capacity building in food animal agricultural research and veterinary education in both countries.
