The purpose of this international, interdisciplinary symposium is to bring together researchers with common interests in complex materials and in nonequilibrium statistical physics in order to discuss cooperative phenomena far from thermal equilibrium. Topics include: statistical mechanics of jammed matter, driven systems such as colloids and vortex matter, complexity in living and nonliving matter, the glass transition, and physical aging. The event will feature presenters from around the world.
