EndNote and APA 5th Output Style Workshop
(Greater Washington DC Metro Area)
EndNote is a software product that allows researchers to save and organize results of database searches or lists of bibliographic references. EndNote can be used in conjunction with Microsoft Word to format in-text citations and bibliographies.
This session will include some introductory elements(exporting, importing, editing, references, setting preferences), but will focus more on getting references to format correctly according to the examples provided in the Publication Manual of the APA, 5th ed, and the APA Style Guide to Electronic References (2007).
The instructor is Dave Beagle. Email him in advance with any specific issues/questions you would like covered during the session.
Free parking on Saturday and Sunday.
If you do not have a copy of EndNote X1 software, bring your laptop to the session and have it loaded to your computer. Desktop users can borrow a CD from the library. You must be currently affiliated with Virginia Tech to download the software.
