Introduction to Library Resources Workshop
(Greater Washington DC Metro Area)
Two sessions available:
-- 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m
-- 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
This workshop will address accessing and using online resources that are available through the University Libraries at Virginia Tech for faculty, staff, and students in the National Capital Region.
Topics will include:
-- Services at the Resource Center Library at the Northern Virginia Center (NVC) in Falls Church
-- Accessing databases and indexes from off campus
-- E-Journals (titles available electronically online)
-- Addison (the library catalog
-- ILLiad -- online request form for materials from Blacksburg and through Interlibrary Loan
-- Planning your research
The instructor is Debbie Cash. Email her in advance with any specific issues/questions you would like addressed during the session.
Free parking at NVC on Saturday and Sunday.
