NCR Alumni Sponsor Blood Drive in Alexandria
(Greater Washington DC Metro Area)
Virginia Tech alumni chapters in the National Capital Region (NCR) have organized a blood drive with the American Red Cross as a tribute to those who died in the April 16 campus tragedy.
WAAC students from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) are supporting this NCR alumni effort by actively encouraging area students and alumni to join in giving the gift of life.
Blood is needed for emergencies and for people who have various illnesses. For nearly 5 million people who receive blood transfusions every year, a blood donation can make the difference between life and death.
