Two-day course led by Dr. Arthur C. Nelson, FAICP (UAP Professor and Director of the Metropolitan Institute)

In 2007, the Virginia Legislative Assembly adopted the nation's latest impact fee statute. This course will review Virginia's new statute in the context of national practice. The course curriculum is designed for professionals in planning, engineering, and administration, as well as for local officials and members of the development industry involved in road impact fee policy. Although geared to Virginia, the principles are broadly applicable to the 27 other states with impact fee statutes and most of the rest.
