Meeting Minutes

1. Reading Day (Thurs May 1st) - River Clean-up - 10am-afternoon.
Please respond if you are able to attend so we can officially log it with
Adopt-A-Stream.
Make a few dives by the 114 bridge in the New River, clean up the surrounding
area above water, then cook out. Club provides drinks, dogs and burgers, you
bring yoru favorite dish. Gear rental is 1/2 price. This (if you attended at
least two meetings) will count for your service event to get the weekend 1/2
price rental.

2. Saturday March 29th - Room Clean-up - 10am-afternoon.
Club will provide lunch and drinks. Sweep and organize the gear room, update
bulletin board (new pictures and information), inventory, maybe help Nick with
his mural, etc. This (if you attended at least two meetings) will count for
your sevice event to get the weekend 1/2 price rental.

3. Equipment Specialty Class - Saturday March 22nd - Gear room - $65.
Officially sign up in the gear room and pay before class day so Jake knows how
many to accomodate. You can bring your own gear to play around with during
class, or the club will provide gear. By the end of this week or Monday of
next, Jake will announce a more specific time but look to keep 10am-4pm open.

4. Nitrox Specialty Class - Week of April 7th (Lectures, 6 hrs, two nights can
be determined during the week, Saturday April 12th two dives at River) - $110.
Contact Nick Jeremiah to get in on the class. (ngj04@vt.edu)

5. If you would like a CPR/First Aid course, Jake is offering his nights through
March (non conflicting with classes) to conduct one. Please contact him
personally and soon.

6. AOW/Rescue are still tenative this semester/summer. Rescue could possibly be
at Rawlings the weekend of Memorial Day (May 24/25). Because of the huge
interest we WILL try to coordinate a solid one this coming Fall.

7. Next Meeting is Monday March 24th, 5:30pm, at Boston Beanery.
