Third Virginia Tech Structural Biology Symposium

Virginia Tech's Crystallography Laboratory is hosting the Third Virginia Tech Structural Biology Symposium on Friday, March 28, 2008 in Owens Hall. Keynote speaker will be Brian J. Sutton, professor of molecular biophysics, Kings College London, and program leader in the MRC & Asthma UK Centre in Allergic Mechanisms of Asthma. His presentation will talk about his structural studies of the IgE-receptor system in relation to understanding the mechanisms of allergic disease.
The symposium will also feature talks by Jessica Bell with Virginia Commonwealth University and Thomas Hollis with Wake Forest, as well as faculty from Virginia Tech. It will also include a poster session, commercial exhibition, and tour of the Crystallography Laboratory.
Registration is free for all Virginia Tech faculty and staff and members of academic institutions. Registration deadline is March 14, 2008. Further information will be available in January 2008. More information...
